The three finalists have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings. Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year. The three contenders were announced live on a national radio breakfast show. This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December. The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT. Agyemang's Profile Age: 19 Sport: Football Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. "To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles. His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record. "Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts." The Cricket Sensation Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international. Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
