The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
